What are the
differences between Pokemon Diamond & Pearl? Which one should I buy?
The Pokemon that can be
caught differ from each version.
How to increase the happiness
of the Pokemon quickly?
(1) Catch Pokemon in luxury ball
(2) Let the pokemon hold the "Soothe Ball". This boosts the happiness
it gets while walking.
(3) Keep it as the first Pokemon in
the party. Walk with your pokemon as much as you can (keep it in your party), you can
atleast keep it in your party and let it other pokemon battle while your pokemon
is holding exp-share so it even gets some EVs and some happiness.
(4) Win in super contests
(5) Give it the berry it likes (but check the EV guide for info about berries
that lowers the EV)
(6) Heal your pokemon immediately from any status change. Using Momo Milk for
healing (Solaceon
Town, Route 210) can increase a pokemon happiness. Do not let your pokemon
faint.
How do I level up
my Pokemon Quickly?
[1] Held Item:Exp Share Item: Let a pokemon that does not battle hold Exp
Share, and it will get the same Exp and EV that your pokemon which had battled!
[2] Trade from GTS: Pokemon traded from GTS get a BOOSTED Experience!!! So If
you usually get 100, you would get over 200! (sometimes using Expshare on
pokemon from GTS, It could get over 600 exp if it could get even just 100)
[3] Held Item: Lucky Egg: This item can be found very rarely on wild Chansey, If
you happened to get it, the pokemon that Lucky Egg is attached to will get more
EXP
If your pokemon got the
Pokemon virus Pokerus, it would also boost the Experience it gets.
*Note: Keeping the
Pokemon in the Daycare only levels the Pokemon up, it does not increase any
stat.
How do I complete my Pokedex
to get the National dex?
- You must see all the 150
Pokemon. Catching any of them is not required.
- If you have Pokemon
Diamond, you can see Palkia in Celestic City.
If you have Pokemon
Pearl, you can see Diamond in Celestic City.
It's in the top house,
the Pokemon can be seen in a wall in the house.
- Arceus, Shaymin (Sheimi) &
Darkrai are not required.
- If you're missing a
non-legendary Pokemon. Be sure that you've battled all the Trainers in Shinnoh.
- The Elite Four must
battled and seen all of their Pokemon as they have some Pokemon that cannot be
found in the wild or with other Trainers in Shinnoh.
I cannot search for a
[Pokemon] in the GTS? Why?
In the Global Trade Station,
you can search for a Pokemon that you've seen in your Pokedex.
For example, If Mew is in the
Pokedex index, you may search for it.
Where & How can I get the
National Pokedex?
You get the National
Pokedex after beating the Elite Four and after completing the Pokedex by seeing
all the 150 Pokemon (Including Dialga, Palkia, Excluding Sheimi, Giratina,
Darkrai, Arceus, Cresselia)
How can I catch Arceus?
Where & How do I get "Azure's Flute"?
(As of May 2008, It's
not possible to be caught) When a Pokemon events happen, Nintendo would send
Arceus via the Mystery Gift feature when attending the Pokemon Event.
In Japan, most of the events
happen in The Pokemon Fiesta and in the Theaters when the movie is screened.
In North America, most of
the events happen in "TOYS R US" stores.
How
can I catch Darkrai? Where & How do I get "Member's Card"?
When a Pokemon events
happen, Nintendo would send Darkrai via the Mystery Gift feature when attending
the Pokemon Event.
In Japan, Darkrai was sent
in the theaters when the 10th Pokemon Movie "Gekijouban Pocket Monsters Diamond
Pearl: Dialga VS Palkia VS Darkrai" was screened.
In North America, Darkrai
was sent in "TOYS R US" stores.
The "Member's Card" is
the item that will be sent via Mystery Gift to those who attend to the Event.
How can I catch Shaymin
(Sheimi)? Where & How Do I get "Oak's Letter"?
(As of May 2008, It's not

found in the Full Moon Island.
(2) Wiiware: Pokemon Farm
Channel (Pokemon Bokujo Channel):
Phione can be
obtained by importing 250 Pokemon and trading it for Leafeon!
When and Where can I get
"Giratina" In Pokemon Diamond Pearl?
It can be caught in
Turnback Cave, which appears after the National Pokedex is obtained.
Where is Turnback cave?
Turnback Cave (Giratina's
Cave) is in Route 214. It appears after obtaining the Nationaldex.
How can I get
"Mew"/"Ho-Oh"/"Deoxys"/"Lugia"/"Celebi" In Pokemon Diamond Pearl?
It's possible to be obtained
by two ways:
(1) Pal Park: If you
have it in a Gameboy Advance game (Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, LeafGreen,
FireRed) you can transfer it to Pokemon Diamond Pearl via Pal Park in Route 221
after obtaining the Nationaldex.
(2) GTS: You can
search for it if you've seen it in your Pokedex.
(3) Cheats - Action
Replay: Using the "Wild Pokemon Modifier" cheat.
After the National
Pokedex the Pal Park launches in Route 221. Using the Pal Park you can transfer
Pokemon from previous Pokemon GameBoy Advance games (Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire,
Emerald, LeafGreen, FireRed)

in Pokemon Diamond Pearl?
How do I change the Deoxys
form in Pokemon Diamond Pearl?
By pressing on the
different rocks in the Veilstone city.
Each rock changes the form
of Deoxys.
Where is the Safari Zone
(Great Marsh) in Pokemon Diamond Pearl?
It's in Pastoria City.
Where is the Old Cheatue?
The Old Cheateue is
in the Eterna Forest. It's near the exit of the forest.
At night, the only-one
pokemon "Rotom" appears in a television in one of the rooms of the Cheatue.
Where can I get Combee in
Pokemon Diamond Pearl?
(1) Combee is found on
Honey Trees across the Shinnoh region.
Honey can be bought from the
guy in Floaroma Town; after 6-12 hours of spreading the honey on the
gold-colored trees a Honey Tree pokemon would appear (such as Combee, Munchlax,
Aipom, Burmy and some other pokemon which can only be obtained this way).
The Honey tree will shake if
it has a Pokemon, It wouldn't shake if there aren't any Pokemon in it. If you
have spent more than 12 hours, spread honey again and come after 6-12 hours. If
you waited less than 12 hour wait few hours more and check again.
(2) It can also be obtained
using the GTS if it's indexed in your Pokedex.
How & Where can I catch "Rotom"
in Pokemon Diamond Pearl?
It's found at night in
a television in one of the rooms of the Old Cheateu in the Eterna Forest.
Rotom can be found
only once. Rotom can breed with Ditto.
Check between 11PM~2AM.
How & Where can I get Spiritomb?
How do I activate the "Odd Keystone"?
You can get the "Odd
Keystone" by digging up in the Underground.
(1) Go to the south of
Solaceon Town. Insert the Odd Keystone in the rock (The "Hallowed Tower")
by pressing the "A" button.
(2) Go Underground.
(3) Talk to 32 Pokemon in the
underground. You can just talk to one person by leaving the undergound,
getting back again and talking to the same person. Repeat the steps.
(4) Save the game.
(5) Go back to the rock you
inserted the Odd Keystone in and press on it.
In
case Spiritomb did not appear:
- Be sure that you have talked to 32 Persons in the underground (check in the
STATUS menu in the Underground)
- Turn off the game and press the rock again. Repeat the process until Spiritomb
appears.
