Pokemon Diamond Pearl (USA) Action Replay Cheat Codes

The following Action Replay (AR DS) cheats are for the North American (USA) version of Pokemon Diamond Pearl versions only, It may not work with other versions.

The XML and DAT files (downloadable at the bottom of this page) Include cheats codes for Pokemon Diamond Pearl UK, France, German, Italy, Spain versions.

Even though most of the codes are from the official Action Replay database, some codes may not work properly, and could cause game data corruption.  Some codes are submitted by Pokemon fans.

Cheat codes can differ between each region, some cheat codes are only available in a certain region (i.e: Some cheat codes could only be used in Japanese Pokemon Diamond Pearl games), therefore the number of cheats could differ between each region's game.

All cheat codes can be downloaded in a Cheat Database file available in .XML format and .DAT format to automatically insert it to the Action Replay cartridge.

 The Cheat code database only contains the cheat codes that are officially submitted by Datel (the manufacture of Action Replay), cheat codes submitted by fans (Wild Pokemon Modifier, Event Pokemon) must be manually inserted using the Action Replay Editor which is available in the official CD that comes with the Action Replay.

* Notice: Cheat Codes could damage your Pokemon game save data.

If you encountered any suspicious glitches in your game after using a cheat code, turn off the game without saving data.

 If the glitch still happens, deselect the cheat in the Action Replay menu.

 The following cheat codes require Datel Action Replay DS (AR DS) for the Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite.

  Nintendo DS: Action Replay DS Cartridge

  Computer: Action Replay Code Manager (Available in the Action Replay DS CD)

 Steps

1. Install the Action Replay Code Manager

2. Download the Pokemon Diamond Pearl Cheat Codes: XML Version (1,480 KB)

3. Copy the Pokemon Diamond Pearl Cheats Code Database (XML File) to the "local_codelists" folder in the Installation folder of the Action Replay Code Manager, usually:

   C:\Program Files\Datel\Action Replay Code Manager\local_codelists

    

4. Transfer the codes to the Action Replay cartridge (Refer to the Video Guide "How to Install The Action Replay DS" for this step)

5. The following codes are not available in the XML file and needs to be added manually: Event Pokemon, Wild Pokemon Modifier.

 Insert Codes

  To Insert Additional Codes (Such as the fan-submitted codes: Event Pokemon, Wild Pokemon Modifier)

1. Install the Action Replay Code Manager

2. Download the Pokemon Diamond Pearl Cheat Codes: XML Version (1,480 KB)

3. Copy the Pokemon Diamond Pearl Cheats Code Database (XML File) to the "local_codelists" folder in the Installation folder of the Action Replay Code Manager, usually:

   C:\Program Files\Datel\Action Replay Code Manager\local_codelists

    

4. In the Action Replay Code Manager, choose your Pokemon Diamond or Pearl game and region in the bottom screen lists

5. Right click on your Pokemon game name and region, and choose "Add Code"

6. Simply add the codes in the bottom field and the title of the cheat code in the top field.

 » Be sure that you copy the codes of your game region. North American Pokemon Diamond Pearl may not support Japanese or European cheat codes.

1. Insert the Action Replay Cart in the Nintendo DS

2. After the Action Replay Cart is fully running (when It says Insert Cartridge), Remove the Action Replay cart without turning off the Nintendo DS and put the Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl game cartridge.

3. Now the Action Replay should detect the game, and It will list the available cheats

4. Select the cheats you would like to use, then start the game.

5. If some cheats did not work, most likely alot of cheats codes are selected which could interfere with other codes, try to use only one cheat code at a time.

 Please note: The Fan-made Cheat codes (Event Pokemon, Wild Pokemon Modifier, Faster Egg Hatching) are not inserted in the XML or *DAT version, therefore you will have to Insert them manually using the Action Replay Code Manager.

 » All of the cheat codes in the XML file are from the official Action Replay database. The DAT file contain cheat codes not confirmed by Action Replay and are available in the "new" folder (for Pokemon Diamond USA version only)

  To activate any of the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Items Bag cheat codes

(Pokeballs, Arceus Plates, and any other item that can be found in the Bag):

1. Select the cheat code you would like to use in the Action Replay main menu, Some cheat codes can only work if they are the only codes enabled (only one), some (like Pokeballs) can be all selected without a problem.

2. Check your bag, If the items aren't there, press L and R (at the same time) in your Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite while playing Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl.

Some cheat codes may not work if other cheat codes are selected, It's recommended to only use one cheat code at a time.
